I tested my broadband access speed this morning with Speedtest and it is 113.43Mb/s.
I have an -A grade of 83% which means that 17% of internet service in Australia are better. However the Global Grade is B (66%) meaning that 34% of international services are better.
According to the SMH, Hong Kong, Indonesia and South Korea all have speeds double the peak in Australia. While I am happy with the speeds I am achieving if we were to move cities the decision where to live would be significantly dictated by internet speed. As a robust broadband speed is essential to my business, I watch with interest the rollout of the NBN. I would like to see Australia being more competitive with its broadband network.
