Tooltip – a clever clue

tooltip

A tooltip is a small snippet of text that is displayed when you hover your mouse over a link or a control.  Tooltips do not usually appear on smartphones, mainly as there is no cursor.  They are one of those design elements that you know subconsciously are there but in most cases, you do not take notice of them.
