Colombian Photographer Melissa Cartagena Explores Her Art And Empowering Women Through The Sensual NSFW Photography
Melissa Cartagena is just an instrument, of those who see life in black and white to the rhythm of a Slowdive song. The ‘Docile’ project consists of portraying about one hundred women. The photographs are of them and for them, where they are shown as they are or as they want to be.
In one image from the series, five men walk down a tranquil path toward a forest. They all wear dark, fitted jackets with bat shapes on the back, the word “VAMPIRE” across the wingspan. Above that logo, the jacket reads “Strangers Gang” and below, “Basel.”
