foscarini + ignacio merino’s morsetto lamps look like toothpaste tubes

foscarini reveals its collection of morsetto lamps, a result of the collaboration of the lighting design brand and swiss ECAL school’s student ignacio merino. the portable lamps made of acrylic and look like parts of toothpaste tubes.

foscarini and merino’s lamps are portable, rechargeable, and wireless. as a design approach, already existing industrial elements were selected as references. the acrylic pipes were heated up to 300°C, deformed, and sealed with some familiar patterns which become something like a handle bag.
