It is hard to imagine giving up a place like this! But Jesse Bennett and Anne Marie Campagnolo have made the difficult decision to move on from their beloved home, to pursue the next phase of their lives and new projects. ‘We both have so many happy memories in the house, leaving is  going to be very difficult’, Jesse explains, ‘but our architecture and interior practice is continually drawing us down south, and it really makes sense for us at this time to be closer to our clients and commissioned work.’

Spruiking the benefits of this incredible home isn’t exactly a hard sell. For Jesse, his favourite detail is how the home interacts with the landscape – ‘the courtyard is surrounded by ancient rainforest trees that tower overhead – so enjoying your morning coffee or evening wine in this space is a phenomenal experience’ he says. For Anne Marie, the highlight of Planchonella House is the starry view from the bathtub at night.

The imaginative qualities of the Planchonella House have also inspired a slightly unusual selling method. The home is for sale for by private tender arrangement– where  negotiation with prospective owners will be based both on the right price and the right owners! ‘We’ll simply be asking for a description of why they would like to become the new owners’ Jesse outlines. This response, along with their highest offer, will be considered equally.

Before shooting off an ambitious email to purchase this dream home – we’d recommend reading over this generous and thoughtful statement from Jesse:

‘During the entire process of creating Planchonella House –  from the design work and the complicated build – it was always about creating a series of joyful spaces for our family that would enrich and inspire us; connect us with nature, each other and  ourselves.  It was never about making money. So, now that the difficult time has come for us to move on – finding the right owners who will appreciate, understand, and use the house as intended is at the  forefront of our minds.’
