Irregular by nature – Milan building transformed

The block that lies between Viale Umbria, Via Cena and Corso XXII Marzo in Milan is as atypical as it is full of life. What started out as an isolated rural building in the late 19 th century was transformed in the early 20 th century into one of the longest street fronts in the city, Via­le Umbria, that came to such a sharp point that one of the corners of the site had to be cut away.
